Joseph Yi, M.D.

Joseph Yi, M.D. is a Holistic Psychiatrist Board-Certified in Addiction Medicine. After graduating from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson medical school, he went on to do his psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital. It was at the heart of Camden, NJ where Dr. Yi learned to treat some of the most challenging cases of psychiatric, addiction and detox patients.

As a resident physician, Dr. Yi had the privilege of apprenticeship under NY Times best-selling author, Joel Fuhrman M.D., on nutritional therapy for mental health treatment. Since graduating as Chief Resident of psychiatry at Cooper hospital, Dr. Yi has been primarily focused on helping patients overcome their dependency to various substances including benzodiazepines, opiates and alcohol.

In addition to conservative medication management, Dr. Yi utilizes a more Holistic approach towards helping improve patients’ overall behavioral wellness by integrating the following as part of his wellness plan:

  • Motivational interviewing

  • Nutrition & Supplementation

  • Outpatient detox

  • Exercise science

  • Spirituality

Dr. Yi is the Co-Founder of Modern Behavioral, an outpatient Holistic addictions and behavioral health treatment center, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
