World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day
World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day (W-BAD) is a grassroots initiative organized by benzodiazepine-harm community volunteers and sponsored by Benzodiazepine Information Coalition. It seeks to raise global awareness about iatrogenic benzodiazepine dependence and the dangers of its associated withdrawal syndrome, which can persist for years.
It is celebrated every year on Heather Ashton’s birthday, July 11. Visit the W-BAD website to learn more.
