We have released an updated version of our benzodiazepine informed consent. Authored by Dr. Christy Huff at Benzodiazepine Information Coalition and Dr. Steven Wright at the Alliance for Benzodiazepine Best Practices, the consent form is now available on our site. Informed consent is the process by which the treating health care provider discloses appropriate information to a competent patient so that the patient may make a voluntary choice to accept or refuse treatment. We hope our benzodiazepine informed consent is useful to both physicians and patients in the treatment decision-making process.
