Martha, I can so relate to your story. I did cold turkey off of Xanax last November and was fine for a few months. I’ve developed retracted withdrawal (I think that’s what it is called) and the symptoms are debilitating. I’ve wanted to die and at times I’m so angry I could kill someone. I’m afraid to leave my house for fear of losing my crap and getting arrested. My moods are all over the place and I just feel like I’m forever damaged. I’ve started researching things I can do to speed up the healing process but most say it just takes time and for me, that could be 2-4 years. Lord help me things better start improving because I can’t do this another 3+ years. I just can’t.
Best of luck to you! Don’t give up!
